Chocolate Ganache Cupakes
adapted from Ina Garten’s Chocolate Ganache Cupcake recipe
makes 12 regular cupcakes or 24 mini cupcakes
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 16 ounce can Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
for the chocolate ganache:
melt together
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
for the white chocolate ganache:
melt together
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time. Mix in the chocolate syrup and vanilla. Add the flour and mix until combined. Scoop the batter into muffin cups (we used my mini cheesecake pan) and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until set. Dip the tops of the cupcakes in the ganache and let set on a wire rack.

He’s so cuddly, lovable & sweet, but will be going back to his former owners. He’s made fantastic progress in the potty training department, but Chole keeps picking on him. Sure will miss him! He loves to sun himself in the backyard grass. It’s so cute when he gets so excited to see you, even if you only left the room for a few minutes. It’s hard to get pictures of him though because for some reason he hates the camera. He will seriously run away if you try to take a picture of him.
A couple years ago at the Utah State Fair and saw a lady making Bobbin Lace. It was so cool! I’ve been looking off and on for a local supplier and teacher. I didn’t want to buy online until I knew more what I was looking for. Well, we were in Denver this past weekend and Googled Bobbin Lace Denver and didn’t find any stores, but found an online store that had a great kit, so took a chance and ordered it. It arrived today. I can’t wait to take a couple hours and see if I can do it. Here’s what came in the mail today:
