58 – Bench
February 27, 2010
We need to refinish the bench on our front porch, but I love the weathered wood look, it’s just not that comfortable to sit on.
57 – Charlie
February 26, 2010
The dogs were outside chasing each other, so I went out with my camera. The first one is Charlie looking handsome. The second one is so funny! He was chasing Chloe around and I was lucky to catch his expression.
55 – Snowman
February 24, 2010
Dorian turned this snowman on his wood lathe. The body is all one piece and the buttons, eyes, nose and hat are also turned.
52 – Agate
February 21, 2010
From our trip to Bermuda. We went to Crystal and Fantasy Caves. They were both really beautiful, one was pretty claustrophobic. They had this little gift shop and I couldn’t resist getting this.

50 – Olympics
February 19, 2010
I was lucky enough to be able to volunteer for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. I worked in the Athletes Village. It was awesome to see the athletes up close and personal. Most were very gracious and happy. It was once in a lifetime chance.
With the Olympics on again, it brought back good memories. The picture below is on the inside of the jacket from the uniform we received. It’s one of my favorite quotes. It’s from Pierre De Cubertin. He’s considered the father of the modern Olympic Games.
49 – Starts
February 18, 2010
I went to a gardening class at church tonight. We learned about starting plants from seeds. These were examples of some of the plants the teacher had started for her garden this year. She’s amazing and was really nice to share her wisdom with us. I can’t wait for summer ripe tomatoes!
48 – Lunch
February 17, 2010
One of my favorites! Mussaman Curry from Thai House Cuisine. They have a great lunch special with a curry of the day (or Mussaman everyday), Tom-Ka soup and Chicken Satay with a peanut sauce that is to die for!!!
47 – Orthodontist
February 16, 2010
Roo is almost done with braces! She’ll probably get them off in six weeks, then a retainer.
Her Orthodontist is AWESOME! He and his staff have been so patient and caring. She had a tooth come in above her top teeth and is missing two teeth on the bottom, so her case wasn’t run of the mill for them. They really appreciate their patients and they throw a fantastic pool party every summer.
43 – Wheel
February 12, 2010
Roo has been bugging Dorian to go for a bike ride, today was somewhat warm enough to do it. She wants to ride two Centuries (100 mile races) this summer and wants to get training.
