I just wanted to post today about how THANKFUL I am for friends and family near and far.

One year ago, Kristy left our earthly presence. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long! Seems like yesterday. The weather today is even the same. A few of us went to Dippidee (her favorite cupcake place) and had a cupcake in her honor. I didn’t know her as well as I should have, but her example of reaching out to others in small and simple ways still shines bright in my mind.

I am blessed to have loving, caring friends that not only care about me, Dorian and Courtney, but also my family they’ve never met. I know that we were guided to live right here, right now.

We braved the Smith’s Marketplace opening today. They had these there! Not only at Easter anymore…

I came across this and thought it was funny.

I am one of those that likes to vote on the official voting day. I was lucky and didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes. I saw several friends there as well. I am a little more hopeful for the outcome listening to the TV and radio this morning, but know it’s going to be a long day.

I hope that when this is all over tonight/tomorrow morning that no matter who wins, both sides can come together and WORK to solve our country’s problems. I also think we need to pray for our leaders so that they may be guided to make the correct choices for this diverse country. GOD (please) BLESS AMERICA!

I just got finished reading this book a few days ago. It’s a fast read and really makes you think. Here’s three of my favorite quotes form the book:

My favorite sandwich place just opened in Lehi by the new Smith’s and IM Flash. I love the French Country bread. They have great brownies too. Part owners used to live around here. Long timers (wink) will remember: Andrew and Shauna Smith, Cameron and Amy Stewart. Amy was the one who helped me today when I stopped by for lunch. They were really busy, the parking lot and the seating inside were FULL and I went at 1:00 to avoid the lunch rush.

Give them a try, Super yummy! Oh and get a Loyalty Card, because you’ll go often!
